Many times parents will book a reader for a children's party and I struggle to find a deck that would be appropriate. I've been using novelty decks like the Happy Tarot, but that led to stellar readings like, "Oh, OK. This guy is holding a few... I think they're cupcakes? So...cups? Oh, yay! It's the 5 of Cups! For a deck meant for kids, the cards are HUGE! I have large hands for a female and I'm having issues manipulating the deck, I can't see a young person being able to shuffle these in any way than by washing them on the table. The deck is oracle size which i think works well to see all the details in the cards and get the whole story of the card. The deck is based of the RWS traditional deck but with some awesome changes that make it work well for kids. Instead of the Devil, you have the bully. Instead of the lovers, you get best friends. I bought them for my daughter, who wont be able to use them because her hands are too small, not strong enough to shuffle them . I can barely shuffle them myself. The cards are bigger than average which makes it easier to truly see the artwork clearly. My child doesn't mind the large cardstock. The artwork is colorful and easy for my daughter to interpret. The booklet is written in a way that easy to understand. I appreciate the prompts as it encourages my daughter to follow her intuition. Overall this was a great purchase. Desde que vi este Tarot me atrapó y no dudé en comprarlo. Había leido algunas criricas sobre su sencilla caja y que el libro no traía fotos de las cartas, pero eso no me detuvo. Hoy que me ha llegado agradezco tanto no haber hecho caso a esas criticas, porque si bien el estuche es de cartón sencillo (Como muchos que todavía se encuentran a la venta) y el libro no contiene imágenes (Al igual que muchos de Lo Scarabeo y U.S.A. Games), eso es lo que menos importa de esta exquisitez. Al ser un tarot para niños se puede pensar el la infinidad de sin sentidos en su contenido, pero no es así. Este tarot es tanto para chicos y grandes y trae gran información para leer las cartas derechas o de cabeza, lo que es una pasada. Son de un tamaño enorme (que en lo personal es como prefiero las cartas de oráculos y tarots) y las imágenes se pueden apreciar mucho más. Algunas como los enamorados, el colgado y la muerte han cambiado de nombre a "mejores amigos", "paciencia" y "cambio" pero todo con sentido, volviéndolo un tarot suave. La calidad de su cartón es muy parecida a la de los mazos de Llewelyn, aunque por ser muy grandes las cartas se podrían sentir muy delgadas para algunos. Lo cierto es que a mi me han gustado mucho y se barajan muy bien. Me siento muy feliz de haberlo obtenido. ( Reviewed in Mexico on October 18, 2021 )
• 5.0 out of 5 stars from michelle -- 'Tarot for kids' is a beautiful, inspiring, and thoughtfully created deck. : Tarot for Kids is a fresh and youthful approach to Tarot inspired by the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot. This deck is for children; or the young at heart, and it does not disappoint. The artwork is beautiful. I love all the soft colours, and the thoughtful approach to the imagery. The images are gentle and very inclusive. There were some insightfully sensitive changes made to some of the cards traditional names, I really like that. As an example the Devil is now the Bully, and Death is Change. There are other changes, all are equally thoughtful in regards to a child's perception and age appropriate content. These cards are a little larger than a traditional deck which is again very lovely for little hands. The guidebook is written by Theresa Reed. For those of you who are fans; who isn't, Benny the goat makes an appearance! He's the goat with the most so we all love that! Theresa offers upright and reversed meanings for each card. One of my favorite parts of this booklet is the question/journal prompts for each card. This can be a very useful tool for exploring feelings and experiences. The interpretations are not dumbed down, and they are age appropriate. All in all if you are in search of a Tarot deck for the young, or young at heart this deck is for you.
